It's been a time since I posted but my internship is over so I'm back :) This weekend I made a dress that jennifer lawrence wore for the W magazine.since they haddend had the same colour of pink fabric in the store, I choose for a totally different fabric a blue cotton. friday I made the pattern for the top of the dress by drawing it from the beginning I started with a pattern that was way to big and had to small it down alot, I also added a figure seam from the side. Saturday I cut it all out from the fabric and took care of the raw edges. Sunday I sewed the dress together here is the result

Last wednesday I went to the stoffen spektakel in Apeldoorn. I bought loads of fabric but this is the fabric I like the most. I already made a design for it. I will make a simple skirt and oversized crop top. The skirt will get a blind zipper.
Making 3 Rainbow glitter skirts 1 for me and 2 will be for sale follow _jollyanne_ on insta for an update when they will be for sale :)
They will both have a waist measurment of 70 cm and will come with a matching hair bow :) here is a preview Well this is what I made last month, since I'm doing a internship I don't have much time for sewing. but this is what I made a Pink Dream pants ;) it's almost done I only need to lower the crotch seam a bit and then it will be ready for wearing. What do you think? I still needed to make a top to go with my pants for the fashion show do I decided to make a start after my work. I finished it this morning and I love how it turned out. It only was about 2,5 hours work here are some pictures of the process. today I finish the hem of the dress. Now I only have to remove and replace the black satin band on the top because it is a bit ugly and womply. But here are the pictures the colour is pink but on the pictures it looks more purple blue like. Would love to see your opinion in a comment. hey everyone,
well I finished the dress and pants (still need to take some pictures) so the dress is finished but I am going to adjust the shirt is not the same length on every side so I need to cut off her and dare some centimeters. the pants is also ready I already gave it to my teacher to look at it and I forgot to take a photo so that will come after my internship in January till April. Now I only need to make the top I choose for a simple top but I'm going to make it with a special fabric. this one below will be it it is a gold jersey stretch fabric with black lace. finaly something about the fashion show on our school well the pants is the same as the schets that I made but ye the dress is becomming a lot diferent than what I first whanted to make. this week I cuted out het pattens for the dress and sewed them toghether I also made side seam pockets in the dress. here are some pictures from what I have done for now I hope to finishs the dress and pants next week but it will bee tricky. finally made something for myself and not school related. I found a tutorial on YouTube from Angela Clayton it's called Ruffly Skirt Tutorial - With Horsehair Braid I really liked it so I wanted to make it. well I went to the city but no one knew what horsehair braid was so eventually I bought it on ebay.
I also went for a pink fabric a canvas cotton so quiet thick. The horsehair braid arrived in about 1 week I bought 18 metres of 50mm Horsehair braid, Crinoline – multiple colours I made the skirt in about 3 evenings and this is the result (better pictures are coming.) We have a project on school wearable clothes, like solar panels on your shirt to charge your phone. accept we work with led lights first we need to know something about electricity. and make licht burn on a small piece of fabric.
but now we are working on a big project most people from our class are making a little led monster from vild but I wanted to make a skirt. I want I to be a bit futuristic so I'm using a oilcloth as base fabric and a canvas cotton for the waistband. I made a 1/2 circle skirt because that is less fabric than a whole circle skirt so also cheaper. here are some pictures of the shirt, there are no photos of the back because that's is embarrassing the zipper is put in so ugly because my sewing machine didn't like the thick oilcloth. |
