Busy for the fashion show on our school because we only have till the XMas vacation to finish our pants, shirt and dress. So I will need to work hard. so today I made a beginning on my dress by making a pattern I mostly make patterns by draping fabric on a mannequin. starting in the front and pinning a cheap fabric to my mannequin and then pin it on with out any folds when there are coming folds I will put a pin there and that will be my pattern. After that I trace the patterns on pattern paper and added seam allowance. then I put it on a cheap fabric for a mockup to see if the pattern is right. well this was my second fit and the plastic bones in the front will not sit richt :( I also removed some space under my breasts because it didn't follow my body lines, I took almost 6 cm in from my waist line and about 2,5 cm from the top it was to wide. Here are some pictures I'm pretty happy with it accept that the boning isn't right. here are some photo's :)

Yay I'm so happy I just bought an lockmashine so that everything I make looks more professional. before I got it I took care of the raw edges with a zigzag but now it will look much prettier and professional. I got mine from the LIDL and the brand is singer. so I was working on my pants for the fashion show so I thought let's try it out. Well the first try was horrible (right one on the picture) so I started to turn things and push on some buttons and now it's perfect. It works very smooth and easy ugh I'm so happy I bought it. here some photos. I thought is would be nice to show you what I have already made. It's not alot but I like how the turned out. Well I like to work with fabrics that are not comment in the fashion world. So the first dress I made is made from oilcloth with a ice cream print. It has a corset closure at the back and a zipper. the bottom is a simple circle skirt and the top is from a burda magazine from 2011. the second dress is a second hand fabric I bought online 4 meters for only 4,50 so really cheap I don't know what kind of material it is but I really like it is is a mint baby rib dress . also the bottom is a simple circle skirt with a blind zipper in th back. I made the top pattern by draping lightweight fabric over my mannequin. this dress also has a corset closure. the last but not least is a outfit that I made for school in the first year. it is also a circle shirt. and I bleach the top and shirt to make in look there were clouds on it because the theme was air. I also made a plastic jacket because you can't see air. yesterday there was a very big fabric market in the ijsselhallen in Zwolle so I had to go, I went after dinner because I had school till late, I went together with my little neighbour girl she wanted to make a skirt for herself and bought a lovely light pink fabric. I also found lovely fabrics 1,5m of a kind of fake suede in a beautiful red colour for 15 euro, 0,5m of a flower cotton and 1m of gray cotton for 5,00 and I fel In love with a beautiful silk blend fabric with black, green and a hit of glitter for about 40 euro for 1,2m, I also bought a lining for it thas was realy cheep only 2,50 for 1,2m. here are some pictures of what I got.
so I'm doing a fashion education in making your own clothes or make something special for someone. I'm now in the second year of the education it's In the Netherlands and is called Deltion college, it's a very big school where you can do all kinds of different educations like photographic, plane restoration, designing and fashion of corse.
Every year we have a fashion show with a theme last year it was "air, water, earth and fire" this year it is revolution the 18th/19th century but then modern. here are some sketches that I made because this is my first post I shall introduce myself first.
